Listening the Waves Breaking

Kein Supermarkt im Umkreis von 10km, kein Geldautomat in der Nähe. Nur einmal am Tag fährt ein Taxi über die holprigen Straßen von Than Sadet, auf Ko Pha Ngan, an belebtere Orte.

Nach vergleichsweise turbulenten Tagen auf Ko Phi Phi und Ko Lanta, erlebten wir nun in Than Sadet die vollkommene Abgeschiedenheit.

Wir wohnten in einem charmanten Bungalow, in dem wir, vom Bett aus, den Mond und den Sonnenaufgang sehen konnten. Mit Yoga auf der geräumigen Terrasse starteten wir in den Tag. Anschließend pendelten wir zwischen Restaurants, Strand und einer kleinen, chilligen Bar, die hoch auf einem Felsen lag. Ansonsten galt es nur, die ungewohnte Wärme des Februars zu genießen und der Brandung zu lauschen.

No supermarket within a radius of 10km, no ATM around. Only once a day a taxi drives down the bumpy road from Than Sadet on Ko Pha Ngan to busier places. After comparatively turbulent days on Ko Phi Phi and Ko Lanta, we now experienced complete seclusion in Than Sadet. We lodged in a charming bungalow, in which we could see the moon and the sunrise, stretched out on the bed. Starting the day with yoga, we shuttled between restaurants, the beach and a tiny, chilled bar, located on top of a cliff. Apart from that, the only thing that mattered was enjoying the unusual hot february and listening the waves breaking.
